Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Meg Loven

This week the Crazy Crafters are hopping with the talented Meg Loven. Even after I had found the card I was going to CASE (copy and selectively edit) from reading through Megs blog  https://lovenstamps.com/ , I must admit, I went on a bit of stalking mission and watched several of her videos over at her You Tube channel "Loven Stamps".  They were a bit addicting,  and very entertaining and I may have watched quite a few!!! But enough of that, let's have a look at the card I chose to CASE! The Designer Series Paper was the star of this card so I decided to use some from the new All My Love pack.  Beautiful double sided sheets that go with two of the new stamp sets in the upcoming Occasions Catalogue. Let's take a look at my version of Megs card! Isn't this paper just gorgeous? I used the colours from the DSP -  Crumb cake behind the paper,  Flirty Flamingo for the stitched circle,  Soft Sea Foam for the la...

Colour INKspiration challenge #CI48

The guys over at Colour INKspiration have a new colour challenge every fortnight on a Wednesday evening.   I love to see what the new combination is and what I can do with it. I am really thrilled to be a guest for this Colour INKspiration #CI48 blog hop! Our beautiful colours for this challenge are inspired by the picture below: Gorgeous isn't it! I set to work and came up with a couple of cards - one I gave to a friend who needed cheering up.  She loved the colours and it certainly put a smile on her face! Here is the other one that I created with #simplestamping in mind.   I used the Abstract Impressions stamp set which uses two step stamping to get the depth in the image.  For the flowers, I used the Blushing Bride as the first impression and then Calypso Coral as the highlight.   For the small flowers (dots) I used Bermuda Bay, stamped off once as the background and then full strength for the highlight. ...

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Amy Koenders

We are lucky to be hopping with Amy Koenders from Atlanta, Georgia. I visited her blog - stampwithamyk.com - and chose a card to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) from her collection of beautiful designs. I was inspired by a few but the one that I chose was this one: I just loved it!  The simplicity of it created such impact. So I set to using one of the new stamp sets, Piece of Cake. I  embossed  in Silver then used the Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut it out which gave me a nice stitched edge around my circle. I stamped the sentiment from the Friendly Expressions set and embossed that in silver too. I then carefully cut around the word Congratulations Before I put it all together I added a little Blushing Bride to the flowers on the cake and used it to stamp a little heart.   Here's what it looked like all put together: I hope you like my version of Amy's card.  It's perfect for a wedding this weekend! Make sure you c...
