Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Amy Koenders

Image may contain: text that says 'Crazy Crafters Hop WITH SPECIAL GUEST AMY AMY OENDERS OENDERS'

We are lucky to be hopping with Amy Koenders from Atlanta, Georgia.
I visited her blog - stampwithamyk.com - and chose a card to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) from her collection of beautiful designs.

I was inspired by a few but the one that I chose was this one:

I just loved it!  The simplicity of it created such impact.

So I set to using one of the new stamp sets, Piece of Cake.
I  embossed  in Silver then used the Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut it out which gave me a nice stitched edge around my circle.

I stamped the sentiment from the Friendly Expressions set and embossed that in silver too.
I then carefully cut around the word Congratulations
Before I put it all together I added a little Blushing Bride to the flowers on the cake and used it to stamp a little heart.

Here's what it looked like all put together:

I hope you like my version of Amy's card.  It's perfect for a wedding this weekend!

Make sure you click below and see what my fellow Crazy Crafters have created.

Have fun and keep creating.

Today I wanted to challenge myself to try something a  bit different by showing the versatility of any stamp set - even if it only has a few images - and do three cards  with either different techniques or use the stamp in a different way.  Maybe even look at the stamps in the set and see what else I can do with them. I thought this would be a good way to show someone, that may be interested in a particular set, or trying to decide, or thinking a particular set didn't do very much, to think again and see the possibilities....

What a great way to get ideas on all the amazing new product than with a card swap! Organised by one of the Crazy Crafters, Nicole, we had to create a card front using anything from the new Occasions Catalogue or Sale-a-bration products - those are the freebies you get for every $AU90 you spend - and that is soooo easy to do once you see what's  inside the new catalogue! As the name says, there are new designs for all those upcoming occasions - Valentine's, Easter, Mother's  Day,  and almost anything ...

Crazy Crafters blog hop with Dena Rekow

This week we are hopping with Dena Rekow and using her blog  http:// www.thecreativitycave.com/  as inspiration. I spent so long looking through Dena's blog - not because I couldn't find anything, but because I loved so much! In the end I decided to use this card as my inspiration.  I loved the simplicity and the depth created with the different green ink colours used. And here is the card I created. I used the open leaf from Healing Hugs stamp set and stamped it in the colours  Pineapple Punch, Mango Melody, Poppy Parade and Lemon Lime Twist - such a juicy fruit mix of colours!   I wanted the colours to be uplifting for the sentiment that I used from the Friendly Expressions stamp set.  I embossed the background with the Lovely Floral embossing folder to give added dimension and then mounted the embossed and stamped panels on Pineapple Punch. I cut around the sentiment and layered it with dimensionals. A...
