Can't get enough!

Hey everyone,

Can't get enough??  Of what??  Petal Palette, that's what!

There are just so many things you can create with this set of stamps and dies.

With the black and white DSP, I have seen some lovely monochrome designs and with the ability to colour a lot of the images, it just opens up endless possibilities!

At a craft day on the weekend, there was lots of laughter, chatting and even some creating going on!
We had been playing with emboss resist and inking up our backgrounds, so this seemed a nice alternative.

To use the black and white DSP, and then colouri in the leaves using Lemon lime twist and Emerald envy and then adding black stamped images.  They really seem to pop off the card!

The next one I CASEd (Copied and Selectively Edited).  I had seen some similar ideas on Pinterest several times (examples by Marelle Taylor,  Windy Wellard and Amy Koenders).  I needed a thank you card for a lady who is taken with the colour Sweet Sugarplum.
Hope she likes this one!

My last one for the day came from playing around and explaining "stamping off".  I decided to use the demonstration piece and turn it into this sweet card.  The leaves are in Pear Pizzazz and the flowers in my favourite colour, Melon Mambo - they just work nicely together!!

I'm sure I'll have more ideas with this set, but I best not neglect the others I have calling me to have a play!

If you want to get your hands on this set, hurry while the Occasions catalogue is still around and look for the Bundle - save yourself 10%.

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Wendy Cranford

Welcome! This week we have another exciting blog hop with Wendy Cranford from Luvinstampin.com. I really enjoyed looking through her blog finding a project that I was going to CASE (copy and selectively edit). The project I chose was this one: I was taken with the colour blending and the use of the die cut over it. I decided to use a watercolour wash for my colour blending.  I used Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay, and Soft Sea Foam.   The beautiful die cut is from the Lovely Flowers edgelits, which I put over the top allowing some of the watercolour wash to peek through. I finished it off with some Bermuda Bay ribbon and a sentiment form the Incredible Like You stamp set.  I love these colours but just think how many other colourways you could do this card! Give it a try! But before you do, hop on over to the next blog and see what my fellow Crazy Crafters have designed this week.

Kylie's Demonstrator training February Blog Hop.

Today I wanted to challenge myself to try something a  bit different by showing the versatility of any stamp set - even if it only has a few images - and do three cards  with either different techniques or use the stamp in a different way.  Maybe even look at the stamps in the set and see what else I can do with them. I thought this would be a good way to show someone, that may be interested in a particular set, or trying to decide, or thinking a particular set didn't do very much, to think again and see the possibilities....
