Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Jessica Brigden

Image may contain: text

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Jessica Brigden.

I have always liked the Petal Palette Suite and so when I saw these cards from a card kit that Jessica had been promoting, I was tempted to break out my stamp set and replicate the lovely purple card straight away!!

I decided I could file that away in my ideas file for later as I really wanted to try something different.
The new Share What You Love DSP has some lovely images that are great to fussy cut.  I love the colours too as they go so well together.
So out came the scissors and I snipped away until I had a bunch of blooms.
I rearranged them into this beautiful bouquet.

Don't they look great together?!
The sentiment is from the Love What You Do stamp set - just love that font!
And, yes, Petal Palette did still get a look in - it's the background stamp (dots)
The returning Mint Macaron is the background colour, which compliments all the other colours.

Stop by the other Crazy Crafters to see their projects.

Today I wanted to challenge myself to try something a  bit different by showing the versatility of any stamp set - even if it only has a few images - and do three cards  with either different techniques or use the stamp in a different way.  Maybe even look at the stamps in the set and see what else I can do with them. I thought this would be a good way to show someone, that may be interested in a particular set, or trying to decide, or thinking a particular set didn't do very much, to think again and see the possibilities....

What a great way to get ideas on all the amazing new product than with a card swap! Organised by one of the Crazy Crafters, Nicole, we had to create a card front using anything from the new Occasions Catalogue or Sale-a-bration products - those are the freebies you get for every $AU90 you spend - and that is soooo easy to do once you see what's  inside the new catalogue! Crazy Crafters blog hop with Dena Rekow

This week we are hopping with Dena Rekow and using her blog  http:// www.thecreativitycave.com/  as inspiration. I spent so long looking through Dena's blog - not because I couldn't find anything, but because I loved so much! In the end I decided to use this card as my inspiration.  I loved the simplicity and the depth created with the different green ink colours used. And here is the card I created. I used the open leaf from Healing Hugs stamp set and stamped it in the colours  Pineapple Punch, Mango Melody, Poppy Parade and Lemon Lime Twist - such a juicy fruit mix of colours!   I wanted the colours to be uplifting for the sentiment that I used from the Friendly Expressions stamp set.  I embossed the background with the Lovely Floral embossing folder to give added dimension and then mounted the embossed and stamped panels on Pineapple Punch. I cut around the sentiment and layered it with dimensionals. A...
