Daisy Delight

Having a play with the Daisy Delight bundle.  This comes with a Stamp set and a punch.

The daisy punch will punch out your daisy image after stamping the flower details, or you can use it to punch out coloured card.

There have been some lovely things done with this punch.
But rather than do the usual, I tried to create a different flower for this card.  I think it is more like a chrysanthemum bud.  What do you think??

To make the flowers, I punched two white and one coloured card - Berry Burst in this case.

I used my ink dauber and coloured just the tips of the petals including the sides - even on the coloured card.
To make the petals roll up and curl, I put the daisy on a soft mat and used my stylus, with a ball end, to run down the centre of each petal - outside to the centre, pressing fairly firmly.
I loved watching the petals curl into the centre!

I then layered then - white, coloured, white making sure the centre one stayed very curled.  Make sure to place the daises so the petals fill any gaps otherwise they will all curl up as one and you won't see the different colours.  Play with the petals to have some open a little more than others to give the flower some character!

Because this card is so raised, it is ideal to give with a gift, or even as the gift itself!

Here's some ideas off Pinterest - so many things you can do with this punch and stamp set!

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Wendy Cranford

Welcome! This week we have another exciting blog hop with Wendy Cranford from Luvinstampin.com. I really enjoyed looking through her blog finding a project that I was going to CASE (copy and selectively edit). The project I chose was this one: I was taken with the colour blending and the use of the die cut over it. I decided to use a watercolour wash for my colour blending.  I used Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay, and Soft Sea Foam.   The beautiful die cut is from the Lovely Flowers edgelits, which I put over the top allowing some of the watercolour wash to peek through. I finished it off with some Bermuda Bay ribbon and a sentiment form the Incredible Like You stamp set.  I love these colours but just think how many other colourways you could do this card! Give it a try! But before you do, hop on over to the next blog and see what my fellow Crazy Crafters have designed this week.

Today I wanted to challenge myself to try something a  bit different by showing the versatility of any stamp set - even if it only has a few images - and do three cards  with either different techniques or use the stamp in a different way.  Maybe even look at the stamps in the set and see what else I can do with them. I thought this would be a good way to show someone, that may be interested in a particular set, or trying to decide, or thinking a particular set didn't do very much, to think again and see the possibilities....
