Hi Everyone,
The challenge over at Just Add Ink #406 this week was a sketch. Something different to get the creative juices flowing.
The design team had some fabulous ideas - it's amazing what people can create starting with the same inspiration.
I had my new Share What You Love paper sitting there staring at me. I hadn't had a chance to play as it arrived just as I was heading overseas to celebrate a couple of momentous milestones with family.
I also had the new In colours ink and cardstock and was taken with the colour Grapefruit Grove.
Well, put it all together and this is what I ended up with - not what I originally started out doing! Does that happen to you? You have an idea and it, sort of, morphs into something else. And I like the result even better than my original idea!
The card is Grapefruit Grove stamped with the same colour and using the small flowers and fern from the new Love What You Do stamp set.
I stamped the sentiment using Daisy Delight in Mint Macaron - so glad this is back!!
The flowers are cut from the Share What You Love paper. I don't mind fussy cutting but I know it's not for everyone. These papers have some great flowers on them just asking to be cut out! It doesn't really show up here, but I brushed them with Wink of Stella to add a bit of bling!
A couple of stamps on the inside to finish it off.
Hope you like it.
The new Share What you Love bundles are now available.
Check them out in my store.
'Til next time...
Bye for now!
This is so pretty Shirley! Such lovely colours together and your edging details add a wonderful frame for your sentiment and gorgeous floral spray. Thanks for sharing with us at Just Add Ink this week.
